I 'watched' the Olympic opening ceremony unfold on Twitter last night. This was a strange experience, and more instantaneous than via the Beeb's live feed. It was also, curiously, an insight - probably quite an accurate insight at that - into the general response. I was, it seemed, one of the very few who weren't watching it.

Once again today I have experienced that 'protected rights' drone. At least I got to hear a small part of the Today programme before I took the dog out.

I feel excluded - by a technical geographic boundary, as it happens. I am wrestling with that, as well as the connotations I alluded to in the earlier post Cut off.
